No-Cost EMI Calc — Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-07-12

No-Cost EMI Calc is an independent hobby app that helps you check what a “no-cost” EMI on an Indian credit card really costs once GST and processing fees are added. All calculations happen on your device. The app has no accounts and no login, and it never uploads your inputs or results.

What uses the internet

1. Google AdMob serves the ad shown in the app. To select and measure ads, Google may collect and use device information, including your advertising ID and general usage signals, under Google’s policies:

In some regions Google also shows a consent popup for ads — see “Your ad-privacy choices” below.

2. Anonymous usage ping (optional). To see roughly how many people use the app, it sends a small anonymous ping on first launch and then about once a week. Each ping contains only your country (worked out on your device) and a count — no name, account, device ID, or advertising ID, and nothing that identifies you or your device. As with any internet request, the server receives your IP address to send a reply, but it is not stored; only aggregate counts are kept. You can turn this off any time in Guide → Privacy.

There is no crash reporting and no other third-party tracking in the app.

Your ad-privacy choices (consent popup)

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app shows Google’s consent message — a popup provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) — the first time you open the app. It lets you allow or deny the use of your data for personalised ads before any ad is requested. Your choice is stored by Google and respected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK.

You can change or withdraw that choice at any time from Guide → Privacy → “Manage ad privacy choices”, which reopens the same Google popup.

Outside those regions no popup is shown, and whether ads are personalised follows your Google account and device ad settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

What stays on your device

Notifications & reminders

The optional credit-card bill reminder is scheduled entirely on your device using Android’s local alarm system. There is no push service and no server — nothing about your reminder leaves your phone.

Exporting & sharing

The “Export PDF” feature builds the document on your device. It is shared only if and when you pick an app from the system share sheet — the app never sends it automatically.
